Shushant Singh Rajput: Journey to Bollywood:
Sushant Singh Rajput was an Indian actor, dancer, and a college dropout. Sushant Singh Rajput started his career with television serials with small rolls. His debut show was star plus's romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008) followed by an award-winning performance in zee Tv's popular show Pavitra Rista (2009-2011). Zee cine awards, Zara Nachke Dikha.


He was born on 21 January 1986 in Purnea, Patna in Bihar. Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the few stars who had successfully Transitioned from Dancing to television and then to movies. He apparently looked up to hardworking Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan (King Khan), who also famously started his showbiz journey from Tv.
Academic qualification of Shushant Singh Rajput:
Right after his schooling from kulcha Hansraj Model School, Delhi, Rajput secured admission in Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, to pursue his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering. He even secured an All Indian Rank 7 in 2003 AIEEE. Along with this, he was the only Bollywood actor who was also a physics National Olympiad winner and managed to clear more than seven engineering entrance exams.
However, his passion for acting took over in his third year of college and he dropped out to pursue his dream of acting. That is how we were blessed with knowing him as a talented actor. Sushant Singh Rajput was a believer and strong supporter of STEM education and was following ISU on social media. He had even accepted an invitation to visit ISU's Central Campus in the summer of 2019 but because of his busy schedule, he didn’t attend.
Dancing Sensation:
Sushant Singh Rajput was a trained dancer and was mentored by Shiamak Davar. He had left engineering in the third year and joined Shaimak Davar's dance academy in Mumbai. During those days of his career, he also worked as a background dancer.
He took part in several dance reality shows where he was able to showcase his dancing skills. At that time because of his dance, he was being compared to some of the best dancers of B- Town, including Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor.
Television journey:
He started his acting career with television. In the year 2008, he played the role of a supporting actor in the serial name Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. However, he became a household name thanks to Ekta Kapoor's daily soap Pavitra Rishta. He had played the role of a middle-class guy named Manav.
Film career
Shushant Singh - (2013 -2017)
- Sushant Singh made his film debut in the buddy drama Kai Po Che (2013) for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare awards for Best Male Debut.
- He then starred in the romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013).
- Then he played a detective role in the Dibakar Banerjee film Detective Bomkesh Bakshy! (2015) which was based in Kolkata.
- He then played a supporting role in Rajkumar Hirani film PK. In this film, he played the role of Sarfraz Yousuf, a Pakistani boy.
- After P.K., his best film to the date was the biopic of Indian cricket team captain M.S Dhoni. M.S Dhoni the untold story (2016). In this film, everyone appreciated his acting talent.
- Sushant Singh Rajput gave his career-best performance. He was not only convincing as the player with his body language but also with his amazing batting skills. The actor had put in immense efforts for his this role and everyone not only film's lover even cricketer from other countries also watched the film and appreciated Sushant's acting talent.

- Then SSR's next film was Raabta (2017) which was released in 2017 casting with Kriti Sanon. This movie's songs are very popular but the movie does not run very well.

Shushant Singh - (2018 -2019)
Kedarnath (2018):
After that, he came back on screen his another block bluster movie 'Kedarnath (2018)' which was released in 2018. In this film, he played a Muslim Pittu role who was carrying pilgrims’ on his back to visit the temple of Lord Shiva Kedarnath. He played the role of simplicity and affection. Like his other films, his acting talent was shown very well. This film is based on the tragic incident of Kedarnath in 2013 where many people lost their lives.

SonChiriya (2019):
He then appeared on SonChiriya (2019). This movie was different from his other movie. He shared the screen with Manoj Bajpai, Ranvir Shorey, and Bhumi Pednekar.

Chichhore(2019):
Then we saw his last released Film Chichhore(2019). Which runs successfully worldwide. In this film, He was cast with Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma. This film is based on college life where you meet a bunch of interesting friends. They as a group go through a seamless transition from past to present. In the end at a reunion, they meet in the hospital and were doing well in their fields.

Versatile Characters:
In a very short span of his career, the 34-year-old actor did nine films with some of the most popular filmmakers. He has done justice to a variety of roles and impressed the audience with his spectacular performances. From Shuddh Desi's romance to Chhichore, Sushant portrayed different sides as an actor. In Sonchiriya, opposite actress Bhumi Pednekar, he played the role of a decoit while he brilliantly essayed the role of a detective in Detective Byomkesh Bakshi.
Fitness Freak:
Besides his good looks and charming smile, he was also a fitness freak. The hard work he put into his fitness has always helped him to look fab and fit. The actor often shared pictures and videos where he can be seen playing a sport of working out in the gym.

“Why do I get blocked all the time, Instagram? I'm REAL and I am replying to my friends in REAL-TIME. And yes there are many replies per minute as I am efficient. What's the problem?”

- He donated Rs. 1 crore just because of a fan.
It was after reading a fan's comment, that Sushant donated 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Kerala. The user had tagged Sushant in a comment and wrote, "Sushant Singh Rajput, I don't have money but I want to donate for the flood. How can I donate? Please tell me." Sushant soon responded and wrote that he'll donate in his name.
